Yesterday was a lot of fun regardless of the ice conditions or lack of wind. Lake Mendota is always a great place to sail. The sternsteerer's still got out and went sailing around the lake and an occasional skeeter or Nite did as well. The afternoon was not a complete loss as Ann, Mimi and Mitch did an awesome job of throwing a good bash out on the ice. Then again would anyone expect anything less from the Green Lake ice boaters? The best comment was from one local Madison sailor who will remain nameless, who said you guys throw the best party on or off the ice. That means a lot.

This is the home of "The Green Lake Ice Yacht Club". Our club has a hundred year history of iceboating on Green Lake with our members participating in many of the different classes ranging from DN's, Skeeters, and Renegades, to Nites and Sternsteerers. This site is intended to facilitate communication within the club and with other iceboaters throughout the world. Remember you haven't iceboated till your runners have hit our ice.
