This is the home of "The Green Lake Ice Yacht Club". Our club has a hundred year history of iceboating on Green Lake with our members participating in many of the different classes ranging from DN's, Skeeters, and Renegades, to Nites and Sternsteerers. This site is intended to facilitate communication within the club and with other iceboaters throughout the world. Remember you haven't iceboated till your runners have hit our ice.

Load up
We could very well be looking at the first ice boating of the year this weekend. This morning we had 3.5- 4 inches of ice on the west end on the newest ice. It was hard ice with a smooth surface, no ripples or pitting, no waves or shell ice as well. It looks really good. The forecast looks strong for the rest of the week with Thursday hitting mid 30's but every night in the 20's. The wind forecast is for 10-15 through the weekend with possible snow late Sunday. Can you say regatta?
