This is the home of "The Green Lake Ice Yacht Club". Our club has a hundred year history of iceboating on Green Lake with our members participating in many of the different classes ranging from DN's, Skeeters, and Renegades, to Nites and Sternsteerers. This site is intended to facilitate communication within the club and with other iceboaters throughout the world. Remember you haven't iceboated till your runners have hit our ice.

Western's update
There are 62 boats racing in three fleets, gold, silver and youth. The conditions were optimal and the ice was near perfect with good steady winds all day. All the fleets got in five races and today are planning on getting in two more races to have a seven race series which allows I believe a throwout. Everyone is having a great time and it is a very social regatta with everyone more or less staying in the same place or places. We will have to wait and see how the Chicken and Rib dinner went at the local American Legion Hall. Rumor has a gracious GLIYC member helped a small group of UW Hoofers attending their first DN event to come to the big party, that is what we call up here in our neck of the woods growing the sport!
