This is the home of "The Green Lake Ice Yacht Club". Our club has a hundred year history of iceboating on Green Lake with our members participating in many of the different classes ranging from DN's, Skeeters, and Renegades, to Nites and Sternsteerers. This site is intended to facilitate communication within the club and with other iceboaters throughout the world. Remember you haven't iceboated till your runners have hit our ice.

When iceboating was ICEBOATING
This photo was sent in by Gary Lukowski, I have attached a photo of Pete W. and me sailing the club B boat in a snowstorm
back in 78. Eric Wilson took the picture and I've held on to it for years. Me hauling in the main and Pete Weinries steering the club B boat during a February 1978 snow storm. It was blowing about 25...maybe more. Glare ice under about a foot of new powder. White out conditions and out of control. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!
