This is the home of "The Green Lake Ice Yacht Club". Our club has a hundred year history of iceboating on Green Lake with our members participating in many of the different classes ranging from DN's, Skeeters, and Renegades, to Nites and Sternsteerers. This site is intended to facilitate communication within the club and with other iceboaters throughout the world. Remember you haven't iceboated till your runners have hit our ice.

Lesson Two from the AC
I talked to a number of friends that were in San Fran watching the racing. One of the big things after the racing was the festivities after the racing was done. Now I know most of us pack it up after the racing and head home to warm up. However, perhaps having the party continue on a little bit makes the days racing all that better. Back in the day the locals I am told they would make chowder, and all sorts of stuff throughout the day as sailors, racers and visitors passed through the pits, some making it to the race course others only as far as the pits. The party atmosphere with families and kids kept everyone entertained and a day out on the ice was an adventure for everyone.
