This is the home of "The Green Lake Ice Yacht Club". Our club has a hundred year history of iceboating on Green Lake with our members participating in many of the different classes ranging from DN's, Skeeters, and Renegades, to Nites and Sternsteerers. This site is intended to facilitate communication within the club and with other iceboaters throughout the world. Remember you haven't iceboated till your runners have hit our ice.

Henry's on the Lake
The story of Henry's on the lake is an interesting one. Who is Henry? Well Henry is Henry Manzer a longtime member of both the GLIYC and the GLYC. He was a racer and sailor in both clubs. Back in the day Henry would set up shop out in the middle of the lake in his club or shanty better known as Henry's on the lake. This place had EVERYTHING for the complete dining and party on the ice. It is Green Lake lore you would say. Well times have changed Henry is not doing the shanty any more, and yet to relive the fun moment Henry claimed yesterday that the red BMW might have to serve for the Henry's of old. So it was top down Henry's at the lake.
