Last night we had about 20 people in attendance which was great a lot of things got started and got finished. Three boats are in various stages of painting the fourth boat was getting its coat of finish epoxy.
The planks are done with the exception of mounting the chocks. We played around with the rigs as well last night, checking to make sure everything lined up correctly. Last night an old friend from Madison showed up to see what was going on, it was great to see Chris after not seeing him for a number of years. He is now teaching in Ripon, which is really cool hopefully we see a lot more of him at club functions.
Now for the ice report we will be checking ice later today to see how much we are added last night. We will keep everyone updated.
This is the home of "The Green Lake Ice Yacht Club". Our club has a hundred year history of iceboating on Green Lake with our members participating in many of the different classes ranging from DN's, Skeeters, and Renegades, to Nites and Sternsteerers. This site is intended to facilitate communication within the club and with other iceboaters throughout the world. Remember you haven't iceboated till your runners have hit our ice.
