This years regatta is in the books, all the sailors are done tired and packed it in early. My guess is that they want some sternsteerer rides. The club was well represented in the DN class with four boats attending, it was the largest club there in the DN class. The highest placing GLIYC boat was Mike Jankowski with a sixth place finish. The highest placing women was Julie Jankowski in 12th place. Rounding out the scoring was Joe Norton in 9th and Peter Hoeper in 11th.
In the Renegade class Dan Bierman had a top half of the fleet finish in the very tough Renegade fleet with an 8th place finish.

This is the home of "The Green Lake Ice Yacht Club". Our club has a hundred year history of iceboating on Green Lake with our members participating in many of the different classes ranging from DN's, Skeeters, and Renegades, to Nites and Sternsteerers. This site is intended to facilitate communication within the club and with other iceboaters throughout the world. Remember you haven't iceboated till your runners have hit our ice.
