We all talk about mirror ice, Hollywood ice well kids it looks darn good here. The sun is breaking through, the clouds are moving and we may have to go sailing later this morning. Sternsteerer anyone?
Tonight's Report
Todd Morgan and I checked out the ice at 5:30 the landings are good with 12 plus in the pits. The lake had on average 8 inches with a few 7 inchers and a few 9 inchers. The ice is hard, level and slick. It is suppose to freeze tonight and I bet it will be high quality regatta ice.
This is the home of "The Green Lake Ice Yacht Club". Our club has a hundred year history of iceboating on Green Lake with our members participating in many of the different classes ranging from DN's, Skeeters, and Renegades, to Nites and Sternsteerers. This site is intended to facilitate communication within the club and with other iceboaters throughout the world. Remember you haven't iceboated till your runners have hit our ice.
