This is the home of "The Green Lake Ice Yacht Club". Our club has a hundred year history of iceboating on Green Lake with our members participating in many of the different classes ranging from DN's, Skeeters, and Renegades, to Nites and Sternsteerers. This site is intended to facilitate communication within the club and with other iceboaters throughout the world. Remember you haven't iceboated till your runners have hit our ice.

GLIYC Club members sail to 2nd overall in 100 Miler
When there is no ice what do you do. You hit the water and start sailing the big boats. Local club members Mike Peters and Julie Jankowski just finished racing the 100 miler race out of Menominee YC this past weekend and ended up in second place aboard Fred Stritt's CC 41. A very big boat. It had to be a pretty long race as the wind was light all day. I am sure they all had plenty of time to talk sternsteerer's with Fred and Mike and also Julie. What a great race and place to sail.
