This is the home of "The Green Lake Ice Yacht Club". Our club has a hundred year history of iceboating on Green Lake with our members participating in many of the different classes ranging from DN's, Skeeters, and Renegades, to Nites and Sternsteerers. This site is intended to facilitate communication within the club and with other iceboaters throughout the world. Remember you haven't iceboated till your runners have hit our ice.

30,000 views and more
The GLIYC website hit 30,000 sometime this morning which is cool seeing as it really is a small page with a small season. Onto the next 30,000 right.
People sailed on Lake Puckaway on Saturday and Sunday it was about three boats. I think this had something to do with the cold. I have not heard back on the conditions. We did receive about 1 inch of snow last night so it might be sail able if it does not drift to much.
Brian Dudek's DN project is now officially in the books. The trailer was mounted and the rack system put on. It looks cool and should get Brian to the ice this coming week. Thanks to all who helped along the process and especially those that helped in the end. Maureen, Todd, Nolan, and Mike thanks.
Maureen's Nite is back rigged together after new paint and should be ready for the weekend as well. Hopefully all iceboat projects will officially be out of my shop by the end of the week.
No word on how the DN regatta went I hope everyone had a great time.
